Testimonials
You took care of my Linkon from McDonough Animal Hospital. There is not a thank you that I could say to you how blessed I am that you took care of Linkon for me. The Rainbow bridge book mark with wild flowers was the best, I still cry when I look at it. I know I will pick her up. My heart is still broken. Thank you for making it easier.

Deceased Pet Care Now Offering a Pet Loss Support Group

For many pet lovers, losing a pet is like losing a best friend, a family member, and a trusted companion all at once. When that loss occurs, many are left with grief and other emotions that can be overwhelming, not knowing what to do or say to move forward, or what to say to others in a similar predicament. Deceased Pet Care has partnered with Jennifer Wilmoth, a Pet Loss Counselor, to help you through these emotions and the grieving process.

In her career and education, Jennifer has worked to help families through many trying situations, including the loss of a pet. Jennifer completed her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Southern Wesleyan University in South Carolina, and then moved to Atlanta, where she completed her Masters of Family Therapy degree from Mercer University School of Medicine. She is now a Licensed Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (LAMFT) with Grow Counseling in Buckhead and Gwinnett and has spent a number of years providing family counseling services to others, including grief therapy and recovery. She truly understands that times of loss can provide tremendous opportunity for growth. As an avid pet lover and mom to her furry four-legged family member, Molly, Jennifer knows the important role pets play in our daily lives and the bond shared.

Deceased Pet Care Funeral Homes’ new Pet Loss Support Group, will be held on the first Tuesday of each month beginning June 5, 2012, from 7:30 pm — 8:30 pm. The meeting will be held in the Community Room on the second floor of the Chamblee Funeral Home at 4991 Peachtree Road, Atlanta, Georgia, 30341. Come and share your story, or just listen and receive support from others who understand what it means to lose a pet. We will explore the grief process and learn ways to let go and move forward in a meaningful way that pays tribute to your beloved pet. Together we can get through the grieving process and start the recovery process.

Questions regarding the Pet Loss Support Group may be directed to Deceased Pet Care Funeral Homes at 770-457-7659.
