To our Kasie:

Kasie came into my life when I was going through some hard times in my life. My dad left us and Kasie was found on a roadside in a trash bag. We both needed each other. My sister got her for her to start out with but over the next few days she became my dog and has been ever since that day. When she was young, she hated car rides. If you didn't have a towel on you, you better believe Kasie would drool all over you before she vomit. That was the worse thing ever since I had a weak stomach to begin with. Kasie went with me where ever I could take her. She slept in the bed with me and at one point she had her very own twin size bed to herself. She sure was a spoiled dog. Her time with the snow was the funniest thing ever. She went running in circles til she had a little mini racetrack in our backyard. She ran so funny, almost like a rabbit. Before her death, she still ran like that. If you were to ignore her, she would "talk to you" and she loved back talking me a lot, lol. Her most famous moment is when we moved down to Georgia. We had to pull over on the side of the road because she was starting to get sick. As soon as I opened the door of the car, she took off! My mother's dog and Kasie went running in circles on the side of I-24. I was so scared they would run into the road and be hit, but thank god they got back in the car. The day I found out she had Hemangiosarcoma, my world went upside down. They told me she only had 3-6 months to live. This was Sept 2010. We started treatments for her and at the end of May, they told us that her cancer was remission. She had gone 9 months, longer than what we had expected. But a few days later, her health took a turn and found out she had a tumor in her nose on the left side. Her left nostril had no air flow intake or outtake. It was another blow to my heart because they told me it wasn't curable. Two weeks later on Sunday June 19, we rushed her to UGA for a serve heat stoke. She stayed the night there and the next day I got the worse news I think I could have gotten. Both cancers had spread into her brain. I brought her home that night so I could say my final goodbyes. That was one of the most hardest decisions to have her put down but I couldn't let her keep suffering. I stayed with her through the end, broke my heart but right before they did it, she gave me one more kiss and then she was gone. She may be gone but she will forever live in my heart and memories. I love you Kasie Ann and I miss you so much!
