To our Chi Chi Carlisle:

Chi Chi joined our family when we picked him from a litter of 9 when he was four weeks old. He was a fat little black lab that came running over to both of my kids when we entered the back yard. I picked him up and he calmed down and let me flip him on his back. We placed a red collar on him with the name Chi Chi on it so when we came back in a few weeks he would be ours. He came home on a hot July day and kept us busy for years to come. The love Chi Chi gave was something that our family will never forget. There were times when each one of us was sick and he knew it. He would sit by the sick family members bed and watch over them. He was our protector and friend. He always had dignity even until the very end. He was always wagging that tail just to let us know that he loved us. His kisses were always there for my two children when days were bad. When I added a little white dog to our home he just let her take over. When we added 2 cats he just sat back and let them play with him and his toys. He was my best friend! For those people that have never felt the love you have for your pet would not understand these feelings but I feel blessed to have had him in our lives even for a small time. Rest in peace Chi Chi until I see you again!
