Testimonials
A note of thanks for your kind words and knowledge when I called you about my Shadow. It was a very difficult day for me, Shadow was with me for 18 years. I was so upset when I brought Shadow. I did not ask many of the questions I should have..I called you the next day and you explained everything to me. I greatly appreciate your kindness. You are great at your job. Thank you so much!

The Shugart Family

Serving Families Since 1972

"Our sincere passion is to provide loving pet parents with the utmost in compassionate and quality services meeting their individual needs.  Whether its burial or individual cremation services, you and your family can rest assured that your pet will be handled with dignity, care, and compassion."

      —Doyle Shugart.

Owned and operated by the Shugart Family for more than 40 years, Deceased Pet Care Funeral Home & Crematories is dedicated to serving the needs of pet parents and their beloved pets.

Started by Doyle and Maudann Shugart in 1972, Deceased Pet Care began its operation with a modest crematory and a huge desire to serve the pet community.  As an avid pet owner, Doyle Shugart has worked more than 50 years as a licensed Funeral Director in the State of Georgia, establishing Deceased Pet Care as Georgia’s FIRST and ONLY FULL SERVICE FUNERAL HOME FOR PETS.  It is this devotion to pets, dedication to quality, and attention to detail that has earned Deceased Pet Care an outstanding reputation within the pet aftercare industry.

As the past President of the International Association of Pet Cemeteries - IAPCC, and current Ethics Committee Chairman, Doyle Shugart has worked hard to improve the standards by which all Pet Cemeteries operate across the country and worldwide. He is credited with developing and implementing the first certified Pet Crematory Operator Training Program for the IAPCC in the United States and abroad.

Under the guidance of Doyle Shugart, along with his wife and three children, Keith, Kyle, and Donna, Deceased Pet Care Funeral Homes & Crematories has grown to three locations, including two pet cemeteries. In early 2010, Doyle and his family will realize a lifelong dream as they complete construction of the largest full service pet funeral home in the nation.
