Testimonials
I just want to thank you for the kindness and service we received when we lost "Rosie Darling". It was like losing a child..I thank god that I picked up your flyer on a whim not knowing that I would need it..You have given us an option to keep Rosie with us forever wherever we go and for that I can't thank you enough..to the family that started this business.

Living in Memory: Grieving the Loss of a Beloved Pet

The holidays are a time of year when many of us are more cheerful than usual, where we greet strangers on the sidewalk with an exuberant “Happy Holidays” and a time when we treasure even more than usual our family and friends. Yet, if during the holiday dinner you find yourself glancing at an empty pet bed in the corner, the holidays can be a painful experience as well.

Pets are members of the family, so their loss is felt deeply. You don’t have to grieve alone.

Losing a pet is like losing any other companion. You have to grieve. From the moments when you pretend it’s not true, and hope to see them bounding up the stairs, to when you finally admit that the dog bed needs to be put away or given away, it’s hard to lose a friend, whether they’re on four legs or two. The holidays magnify this pain, as they focus on togetherness and family, and part of your family is gone.

Juliann is one of our staff counselors, and has been with Deceased Pet Care since 2006.

At Deceased Pet Care, we have trained staff counselors who have a great deal of experience in guiding you through the loss of your pet. Our counselors consist of five humans and two animals with over 33 years of experience combined, our staff counselors are well equipped to help you discuss your grief and to work through it as you memorialize your pet through burial, cremation, or with one of our memorial products. Each one of our human counselors is a pet parent as well, and understands the pain and loss that you’re dealing with—we know that pets are a member of the family, as well as how much they mean to you.

As the holidays approach, you don’t have to deal with the grief of losing a pet alone. Our counselors are readily available by email, and you contact them individually via the Deceased Pet Care Website. If your pet is a recent passing, you can show your love for them during the holidays by memorializing them. It’s a way for you to express your love for your pet as well as a way to keep their memory alive during the holiday season.

Are you dealing with the loss of a pet? Tell us about your fur friend, and your most treasured memory of them.
