To our CoCo:

CoCo came to me in the younger years. At the time, I had no idea she would become my world. It wasn’t long until she claimed her spot in my heart. She was the one I would run to and tell all about my day, good or bad. If it were bad, she could tell and look at me with sorrowful eyes or nudge me with her nose as a way to let me know everything would be okay. On every other day, she’d peak out her stall door with perky ears and big, bright eyes. Always nickering a cheery hello. The first thing to attract me to CoCo was her spunk. And boy, did she have spunk! People would always say she had two speeds: fast and faster. She could jump twice her height, gallop up a hill with such unbelievable power, and run faster every other horse on the lot. She couldn’t be contained to just the ring; her real joy was running in fields, through rivers, and over rocky trails. It would be just her and I, anywhere outside the fences where she could run unrestricted…wild and free. CoCo was a blessing in my life. And while her passing is heartbreaking, it’s comforting to know she’s at peace. Her spirit has been set free to run unbridled in Rainbow Bridge, just as she always loved to do her on Earth. Until next time, baby girl.
